Who said Spring was just around the corner? Cause
not here in Springfield, Mo.  We have snow on the ground,

Before the game!

So I've been a little busy bee this morning.
To make it better, I even dressed the part today! :)
I'm so ready for Spring, but sadly Mother Nature
has other plans, as we are getting snow.  Tell me about it!
Where is the sunshine? Guess I will have to get some coffee
to warm up this afternoon before the game.
You might be asking what game.  Well, in my house
it is madness when the college basketball tournament is here.
When I woke up, that was what everyone was
talking about.  I even had my 9 year old son, Cole, tell
me how to mark the brackets, and when all of the games where
on before he got home from school.  Yes, I live with sports nuts.
How I love them!!!
Anyway, I had to get busy this morning, as the only game I want to
watch is this afternoon.  THE ZAGS!!!  Go Gonzaga!!!!
While I will be home, I would love to be back in my
home town cheering on the Zags.  As I'm sure
the town is going CRAZY.
Before I head off to go sit down to watch the game, I
was able to create 2 different layouts today.  Yes, two!
I know, crazy!!!
The first one is a layout with no pictures.  I've seen different
ones around, and have never done any myself. So funny as it sounds,
this layout was really hard for me.  I couldn't get the cross to look
right, but after some moving around this is what I came up with.

Challenge/Linky Party:
and

Now onto my second layout.  Way easier!!!  This picture is
from when we actually had some sun.  I really liked how
I could take the same kit, and make something else with it. :)
Challenge/linky party:
and

Here is a preview of what kit I ended up using
for both of my layouts:

Now I'm off to work on one more layout!  Have
a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!!

Moments

Well, time for me to actually share something new I created
(besides a kit)!  Last week was Spring break, so the
boys and I went on a little bike ride.  We have this great park
next to our house that we went to. Plus the park also has
a small hiking area, that I've never
been on.  So I couldn't pass on bringing my
camera to capture some great moments while
we had some fun.
Even though the boys get tired of me
taking their photos, I at least get
a few good ones here and there.
I was even able to enter a couple of challenges:
and

I used last week's kit: Sending Flower for my page.
Here is the kit:

The team has come up with some stunning layout using this kit, too.
I will be sharing those later this week.  :)
Before you head out, I have a new
Easter/Religious kit that will be available tomorrow.
Here is a little peek at He has Risen:

Get your luck on and QP freebie

Friday is here, which means release day! I
don't go all crazy for St. Patrick's Day, but I do have a few pictures
that need to be done. So when I was creating this, I wanted
everyone to be able to use it not just for March 17th,
but for all types of layouts. While yes, I have
a few fun clovers, leprechauns, green beer, and other
Irish goodies, I did create other elements so you can use this
kit over and over again!
This is my biggest kit yet, I have 48 papers and 95 elements! It
took me over 3 days to finish it, lol. My sweet husband kept asking
if I had it finished almost everyday.
Preview of all 40 pattern papers and 8 solid papers from the kit:
I also made the following which coordinate with the kit

For those of you whom like it all and want even more savings

Now for my layout with the My Lucky Charm kit
plus the Circle This Template Pack:

Now for what all of you have been waiting for the free QP:
all of my quick pages are 300dpi, png format, and 12x12

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check back this weekend!  I will
have some more inspiration for all of you using this kit and my new
template pack.

Cardinals here we come~

So back in Sept. my husband and I were able to
get away for the weekend. With us not being from the
area, it was nice to be able to take a trip almost anywhere around
us.  Since everything was so new!  We decided to take a quick
getaway up to St. Louis without the kids.  Wow, some adult time!!!
While we missed the boys, it was really
nice to be able to have a conversation.
On our visit we were able to check out the
Cardinal's Baseball Park.  I learned tons about the
history of the team, and Todd even did, too.

Here are some pictures of our visit:

kit used: Black Friday

We had a really fun time, and both of the boys were not
very happy with us for going on this tour.  So we will be doing
it all over at the end of the month.  This time with Cole and Cody.  :)

Challenges I entered with my layout:
Kaboodle Doodle: anything but a card (miss you ladies)
Scrapable: March Inspirational Challenge
and
Challenges4everybody: anything goes

Before I'm off to go enjoy my afternoon coffee, I do want to let all of
you know a detail about my layout. You see that big
picture in the background I did an overlay effect with PSE on top
of gray paper.  Now you can also create almost the same effect by keeping
the image normal, but changing the opacity of the photo. I use
both often, just depends on the paper below or the photo itself.
Now I'm off.

Be sure to check back tomorrow, as I have new goodies to share!!! Thanks
for stopping by, and have a great day. :)

Scallop Layers

Good morning, okay well almost afternoon.
I've been a busy little bee working on some new
goodies that will be coming to the store this Friday.
Not only do I have a new kit (hint: something to do with
being lucky), but I also have some new templates.
I find templates are a great way to jump start your mojo,
save you time, and always great to have on hand!  I even
use them on my layouts.  When I first started making
my own layouts, I would start from scratch.  It was
great when I had tons of time to play around.  Sadly, as a mom
I don't have all of the time in the world to create everything from the
beginning.  So I began using templates here and there.  Well, now
I'm hooked.  Templates are a great base to any layout, and the
best part is you can use them over and over again!
Today, I'm sharing my Scallop Layers Pack:

All of my templates are for personal use, scrap 4 hire, creative
team use, and commerical use.  You don't even need to give me credit!
Want to see just a few ideas of what you can do with
this pack?  Here is what my team and some scrapable ladies
came up with:

Cutie Quick Pages

Good morning~
I was finally able to create something new with my
Template Dream goodies.  I'm always happy
when I get to play!

This week my new release is Cutie Quick Pages:

I've decided that I would start adding these to my store, as
sometimes you either don't have the time, don't know where to
start, or even want the kit for only a couple of
pictures.  Over the years, I've used
a few quick pages myself.  I love how they saved me tons
of time for other things on my to do list.  Plus
I love the feeling of being that much closer to finishing
a book.  So let me do all of the hard work for you!!!
Here is what a couple of the layouts look
like finished:
First one is of my son Cody:

Now for his brother Cole:

Now I'm off to enjoy my weekend. Thanks for stopping by, and
have a wonderful weekend yourself. :)

Becoming a Better Person~

February is now over, and March is here.  If you been
checking, I've made a few changes but
still have a little more work.  Every year February just
flys by.  Always leaving me with more to do
for the month of March.  So this was not any different from
any of the ones before.
I've been reading this book for the last couple of weeks, which will
part of my focus here.  While I'll be sharing more about the
book next week, I do have something that goes
along the same lines for all of you today.
I received this in my email, and couldn't wait to share it with all
of you.

7% Written by a 90 year old

This is something we should all read at least once a week!!!!! Make
sure you read to the end!!!!!!

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer,
Cleveland , Ohio .

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught
me. It is the most requested column I've ever written.
My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once
more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short – enjoy it.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends
and family will.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their
journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye, but don't worry,
God never blinks.

16.. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful. Clutter weighs you down in
many ways.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19.. It's never too late to be happy. But it’s all up to you and no
one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no
for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie.
Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years,
will this matter?'

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you
did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative of dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's,
we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have, not what
you need

42. The best is yet to come...

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

While this came from one of those chain emails, I couldn't help but
think if I only lived by some of these how I would become
more like the person I WANT to be.

While all of them speak to me, a couple really stand out,
which are 8, 17, and 41.  I like 8 because
I've had some challenges in my life and no
matter how mad I get at God, He is always by my side. 17 is
great because I'm currently doing a huge Spring Cleaning!!! Lastly,
I love number 41 because I have an issue with envy.  I need
to remind myself over and over again
to be happy with how I've been blessed.  That things
won't make me better!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
